Make an Original Piece of Fabric with a Sharpie Marker

Have you ever designed a piece of fabric using a Sharpie marker???  Well, I just did!  It is a lot of fun.  I only designed one piece of fabric this time, but I will for sure be trying out different designs and colors very soon.

Here is my first go at it....

It is very simple.  You just need some Permanent Markers  or Fabric Markers.  I used a sharpie.  I also used a plain cotton broadcloth for my fabric.  Pick a design and then repeat it over and OVER.  It does take some time, but I found it real relaxing. :)  Give it a try and let me know how it goes!

What to make out of this fabric??? :) I'm sure I'll think of something!

Thanks for visiting!

    1. It did take a a little while, but not too bad. I worked on it while I watched my girls play in the front yard. I would say about 45 min. I also just realized that I said that I used plain cotton broadcloth for my fabric, I actually used a cut-up white T-Shirt. I'll have to fix that on my post. I did just wash this in the sink. A lot of the ink was coming out as I washed. The white is a faint pink, but I think I actually like it better now b/c it looks more like material and less like sharpie on a white T-Shirt. I will throw it in the dryer and maybe that will set it. I wonder if I should throw it in the dryer after drawing and then wash? Any thoughts? Thanks so much for your comment!
