I'm still in SHOCK that my Kansas City Royals, whom I've grown up cheering for all my life, are in the World Series for the second year in a row! For so many years we were always in last place. It almost seems that I'm in some sort of dream every time the announcers mention the Royals and the World Series in the same sentence.
One of my favorite things to do in the fall is take fall photos of my family. I've always loved snapping photos of my kids running and jumping in the leaves. What is it about a pile of leaves that brings out the kid in all of us?
There is a park close to our house that always looks so pretty in the fall and it has been a great place to snap some family photos. As I finished up my latest purse, I grabbed my 1/2 pint photographer and headed out to the park to take advantage of some of the Lord's fall beauty.
This purse was for a client who wanted me to make her a concealed carry purse with a matching wallet. The wallet is the Necessary Clutch, designed by Emmaline Bags. I ended up having to alter the flap accent a bit this time, as the fabric was giving me trouble. Honestly, I can't even tell you what I did! Wow! I just made this at the beginning of the week and I've already forgotten?! I am coming up on 40. Ugh... Is this what happens to your memory at 40.
I recently received a request from a customer to make her a concealed carry purse out of Robert Kaufman's Beau Monde Metallic fabric (which has recently been discontinued-BTW), I was a little unsure of how it would turn out. It is a very lightweight fabric, so I knew that I would want to add the standard 1 layer of woven fusible interfacing, but I thought I might need to add a 2nd layer, as well.
