Quick Tip Saturday #1: Adding Woven Fusible Interfacing

I've decided to add a new series here at GCC called QUICK TIP SATURDAY.  At first I was just going to make it sewing tips, but decided that may limit me a little.  What if I run out of sewing tips after this one??!!  Anyway, here is my first "Quick Tip"

How to Add Purse Feet to Your Handcrafted Handbags

I love purse feet!  Most of the time, they probably don't actually DO a whole lot to protect the bottom of the bag (let's be honest), but they sure do look cute!!  I want you to be able to add them to your bags too, because they are SO easy to install.

My Homeschool Curriculum-MATH AND ENGLISH

If you are new to the homeschooling world, you may not know that NOW is the time to start thinking about next years curriculum.  I have been homeschooling since my daughter started Kindergarten in 2011.  So, I have not been doing this too long, but I hope I can be of some help to those of you who are just starting out.

Leopard and Pink Handbag....Ooh La La!!

(Affiliate Links in this post)

I'm excited to share with you my 2nd attempt at the Sugar and Spice Handbag from Christine over at ChrisW Designs.  It is a perfect bag for the intermediate sewist who is looking to learn a few new technique, like...

  • adding rivets
  • using hardware
  • adding a zipper closure
  • adding piping
For me, I was looking forward to adding the piping, as I chickened out on my 1st Sugar and Spice Bag.  It was actually easier than I though it would be.  Let's check it out!
