Four EASY SEW Bags for 18" Dolls

Have you heard about the American Girl Doll Summer Wardrobe Giveaway Diana Rambles and Friends have going on right now?    Well, if you have not, you are missing out!   There are some amazing outfits AND accessories that any little girl would love to have.  For this giveaway, I contributed four bags.  Let's check them out!

These two bags were so fun to make.  The pink and white polka dot duffle bag was made using a tutorial from the blog Obsessively Stitching.  I found the tutorial for the bag on the right at the blog Brambleberry Cottage.

The handles are made from a pink and white chevron ribbon I found on sale!  I want more of it!

Like my label?  I just learned how to make my own labels to add to my bags.  They are iron on!  I'll show you how I did it in a post soon to come. :)

I think I'd like to make a larger version of each of these bags.  This duffle bag also has some sweet ribbon for the handles.

The next two bags are made with unique material.  The one on the left is made from a faux leather sample I got from the fabric store.  The handle is made from a necklace cord.  The bag on the right was made from fabric I designed myself using a glue-resist technique.  If you are interested, you can check out the tutorial HERE.  It is super easy and a great summer project for the kiddos.

Lilly Anna is all ready for summer as she carries her suntan lotion in her little pouch.  I actually made the cutest little bag with another swatch of faux leather.  It even had a snap and a cute silver chain for the handle.  However, the snap kept ripping out of the leather.  Such a bummer!

To make this bag I used a tutorial from the blog Pixie Faire.  If you love doll clothes, I'm sure you've heard of them.  They have some great free sewing tutorials.
