GCC Concealed Carry Purses - My Summer Line
I spent 2 weeks sewing these purses for my GCC Concealed Carry Summer Line on Etsy. The more I sew this purse, the more I love it!
I decided to make three in this darker gray chevron with three different accent colors. The lighter line is not really a white, it is a very light gray. I'm always looking for colors that will not show a lot of dirt, since you can't throw these purses in the washer.
I purchased this lining fabric a LONG time ago, but just have not been able to find the right project for it. It's a Ty Pennington fabric and it is sateen! I did not know how GOOD sateen felt. I also have this lining fabric in coral, which is very lovely and I'm dying to use it as well.
The shoulder straps look aqua here, but really they are a very smokey blue. I don't really know how to describe it. Maybe more of a cloudy day blue. This picture also shows the concealed carry pocket. No one can even tell this is a concealed carry purse.
For the lining of this purse I chose this beautiful fabric I found at Jo-Ann's. You should be able to find it in your stores or online. It is a nice medium weight and the colors and design are just so pretty. It's a Paris theme, which seems to be what I am drawn to lately. It has some black text, pink designs and even some gold.
I also went with this lime green chevron. I actually have had this fabric F-O-R-E-V-E-R, as well. I definitely love how this purse turned out. I know it will take a special person to buy this purse, but I know there are a lot of green lovers out there!
See, told you I have a Paris obsession. I think this cream and gray lining fabric goes perfect with the green. I didn't think the inside should be very loud, so I went with calm. :)
Here is the gray chevron with a pink accent and yes, the lining is a Paris theme. You know, most of this Paris fabric is leftovers from other 'custom orders', so I guess my customers love Paris fabric as well.
Finally, here is the gray chevron with the yellow accent. This was a fan favorite, and my favorite, and it has already sold. Yay!
It was so much fun sewing these purses. Do you like this style? Do you want to sew it up yourself WITHOUT the gun pocket? No problem. I purchased the original pattern from BlueCallaPatterns over on Etsy.com. Her pattern is just for a plain purse. It does NOT have instructions for...
1. a gun pocket
2. a zipper closure
3. rivets (check out my tutorial HERE)
4. making bigger (my purse is actually 1 inch taller than hers)
No, I'm not getting paid for sending you over, just thought you might want to buy this beautiful pattern. Her directions are SO easy to follow and she's also available to send a note and ask for help. She also has tons of other BEAUTIFUL patterns to choose from. So head on over and say hi and buy a pattern or two.
Thanks, for stopping by. You can see all these purse on my Etsy shop at GCCginascraftcorner.
